Job summary

Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Manager of the Emergency Department to lead the daily operations, coordinate patient care, and supervise ED staff across multiple facilities. The role requires RN licensure, BSN, and significant clinical and supervisory experience in acute care.

The position includes ongoing training in BLS, PALS, ACLS and CEN as preferred or required. The Successful candidate will work with physicians and hospital leadership to deliver high-quality, safe care in a fast-paced ED

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• PALS upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Responsibilities

• Manager of Emergency Department is responsible for the day to day management and coordination of all activities in the Emergency Department.
• Supervises and monitors performance of the Emergency Department staff.
• Interacts with the physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients and patients’ families/significant other(s) to provide comprehensive care.
