Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio, is hiring a direct hire Emergency Department Health Unit Coordinator/Patient Care Technician for the 6:00 AM–6:00 PM shift. This part-time position supports the ED with record preparation and patient care in a 20-bed unit with 14 monitored beds.

The role handles patient information entry, unit coordination, and clear communication with patients and the team to enable timely interventions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program completed.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English with strong interpersonal skills.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information and physician orders to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate unit activities and ensure supplies are available for patient care.
• Open and timely communication with patient, family, and team for interventions.
• Assist RN/LPN in meeting physical and emotional patient needs on the unit.
• Carry out assigned treatments and procedures under supervision.
