Intermountain Health's Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN to join a fast-paced, high-acuity team. This role floats to ED and other acute care areas based on needs, delivering evidence-based care with strong teamwork.

We offer 36 scheduled hours per week with a $37.45–$57.29 hourly range, full benefits, and opportunities to expand emergency nursing skills. BSN is required and state RN licensure must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of start date.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and clinical standards.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt quickly to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Support a culture of teamwork, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement.
