Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Colorado seeks an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN. You will float to ED and other acute areas, delivering rapid, evidence-based care in a high-acuity setting alongside trauma and interdisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and collaboration. A BSN is required, with 36 weekly hours and a 10% float differential; compensation reflects market rates for Colorado ED nursing.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice. Compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required and will be verified.
• RNs with <12 months experience must obtain BSN within 4 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interprofessional teams.
• Administer medications, treatments and procedures as per policy and standards.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Adapt to varying workflows, patient volumes and acuity while maintaining safety.
