Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Colorado seeks an Emergency Department Float Pool RN to support fast-paced ED operations and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will float to ED and other acute care units as needed, collaborating with physicians and care teams while maintaining safety and clinical standards.

This full-time role offers days or nights, a 36-hour week, a 10% float differential, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must transfer within 60 days.
• Minimum one (1) year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is Required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Adapt quickly to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining quality and safety standards.
