Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Unit Assistant to provide clerical support, manage patient records and supplies, and facilitate communication within the unit. The role involves patient interaction across adolescent, adult, and geriatric groups, and works under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include basic patient care tasks, data entry in the EMR, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality care.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No previous experience is required.
• CNA certification active is preferred; if not held, enrollment in NGHS PCT Academy will occur.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain and report basic patient data such as vital signs and intake/output.
• Monitor patient status and promptly report changes to licensed staff.
• Provide basic patient care and support to nursing staff.
• Answer patient calls and communicate needs to the team.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
