Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or transcript showing sophomore completion).
• Two years experience as nursing assistant, patient care technician, or unit assistant.
• Ability to work with other departments/public and to take direction from nursing staff.
• Typing preferred but not required; ability to operate the EMR system.
• Good interpersonal skills and adaptability to changing situations and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report basic patient data (vital signs, weight, appearance).
• Assist with positioning, hygiene, ADL, and comfort per procedure.
• Monitor intake/output and document accordingly.
• Identify and report changes to licensed staff promptly.
• Organize patient care and prioritize per physician/nursing orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures within scope and report patient responses.
