Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a unit assistant to provide a wide range of support services on the units, including maintaining patient records, unit supplies and equipment, and serving as a communications facilitator under the direction of licensed staff. The role supports adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and follows patient safety goals and unit procedures.

No prior experience is required; NGHS offers an in-house PCT Academy for those early in their nursing path.

Competenze

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent as required.
• No prior experience required; may enroll in NGHS PCT Academy if needed.
• If CNA certification is not held, candidate may be enrolled in NGHS in-house training program.

Mansioni

• Obtain and report basic patient physiological data (vital signs, weight, etc.).
• Assist with positioning, mobility, hygiene, and comfort per procedures and direction.
• Monitor intake/output and document in the EMR.
• Identify and report changes in patient status to licensed staff.
• Organize patient care and prioritize physician/nursing orders within time frames.
• Perform therapeutic procedures and report patient responses to supervising nurse.
• Answer calls and relay patient requests to appropriate staff; ensure completion.
