Job summary

Gosnold, Inc. is seeking an ED Navigator in Plymouth, MA to assist patients in the hospital emergency department with substance use disorders and related conditions, guiding families through the behavioral health system to support recovery.

Responsibilities include engaging patients non-judgmentally, conducting screenings, coaching recovery, and coordinating referrals to detox, rehab, and community resources. Experience in addiction treatment is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling related discipline or equivalent experience required.
• At least two years working with substance use disorder patients in a behavioral health clinical setting.
• Three years of lived addiction recovery experience may be substituted for workplace experience.
• Willingness to undergo certification training with a recognized Coaching Certification organization.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients in the ER for substance use disorders in a non-judgmental manner and refer to addiction-specific services.
• Conduct screening assessments to determine suitability for treatment referrals.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to support referral placement and recovery.
• Facilitate transfer to treatment settings and coordinate transportation when needed.
• Develop relationships with community resources across a wide geographic area.
