Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will play a critical role in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and high-quality nursing care for a wide range of cases, from minor to complex emergencies.

You will work alongside doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care and support pet parents during stressful moments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of VEG practice is required; VTS in ECC/IM/anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat and monitor emergency patients; perform nursing care, treatments and emotional support.
• Assist doctors; participate in triage, diagnostics, anesthesia and critical care nursing.
• Handle IV fluids, CRIs, blood products and routine medications.
