Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team in Houston. You’ll handle a wide range of cases from triage to critical care, working with doctors to deliver compassionate, gold-standard care for pets and their families.

You’ll perform anesthesia support, diagnostics, monitoring, and nursing care, with opportunities for growth, mentorship, and ongoing ER CE.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVMT in VEG practice required; state credentialed.
• 1+ year experience as veterinary technician; emergency or specialty preferred.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg; must work nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Treat each patient and person with care through tests and treatments.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Administer meds, monitor patients, and manage IVs.
• Collaborate with doctors to keep care flowing and plan next steps.
• Perform CPR and other emergency procedures as needed.
• Assist with anesthesia, diagnostics, and sample collection.
