Job summary

The role requires a nursing or social science background, relevant certifications, and 2 years of crisis intervention experience, with inpatient psychiatric exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or social science related field.
• Aggression Management certification within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support from a hospital-based AHA program.
• Licensure appropriate to education and role.
• Two years of mental health crisis intervention experience; inpatient psychiatric hospital preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills (reports).

Responsibilities

• Manage crisis intervention events in emergency departments.
• Collaborate with multiple departments, medical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure safe implementation of crisis intervention techniques and patient/staff safety.
• Monitor intervention status and response; communicate updates.
• Adhere to regulatory guidelines and institutional policies.
• Educate and mentor others; uphold professional standards.
