Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is seeking a Crisis Intervention Specialist to perform emergency mental health screenings and crisis assessments within Psychiatric Emergency Services. You will work with an on-call psychiatrist to determine the appropriate disposition and ensure thorough documentation in a 24/7 environment.

Education includes a Bachelor’s in behavioral health fields; a Master’s is preferred. Minimum one year in a psychiatric setting is required, with NJ law experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related behavioral health field required.
• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related behavioral health field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in psychiatric or behavioral health setting; hospital PES preferred; NJ involuntary commitment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct emergency mental health screenings and crisis assessments in PES.
• Collaborate with on-call psychiatrist to determine level of care and disposition.
• Coordinate documentation and ensure 24/7 service coverage.
