Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing Degree: Graduate of an accredited school
• Master's Degree (Preferred)
• Cert Critical Care Reg Nurse (Or) Certified Emergency Nurse
• Certificate: Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Certification
• Registered Nurse: Licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
• Basic Life Support: From a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program
• Satori - Managing Aggression: Accredited Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA) certification required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Coordinating rapid response to psychiatric emergencies
• De-escalation and restraints when necessary
• Assessment, stabilization, and disposition of patients
• Participation in team huddles, debriefings and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide ongoing education and training to staff
