Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of college or equivalent required; six months experience in radio/telephone dispatching or six months in call center/customer service.
• Ability to accurately convey and interpret communications during stressful emergencies; must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate the telephone switchboard, inbound/outbound email notifications, and radio systems.
• Receive and route calls to division personnel and disseminate information to agencies by telephone, radio, computer, or fax.
• Coordinate initial alert notifications from power plants and other facilities; monitor weather bulletins and notify appropriate personnel.
