Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizen eligible for employment.
• No felony conviction on record.

Responsibilities

• Answers Emergency and Non-Emergency phone calls.
• Answers and dispatches officers on police radio system; monitors and documents radio traffic.
• Dispatches calls for service to officers and maintains unit status on duty.
• Operates VCIN and NCIC terminals.
• Assists with data entry into CAD/RMS and tow operations.
• Monitors security systems and logs pertinent information.
• Enter calls for service into CAD/RMS; conducts license and vehicle checks.
• Uses NCIC/VCIN for information sharing.
• Assists officers with DMV and criminal history information.
• Assists citizens with questions and complaints.
• Supports other City departments with information and assistance.
