Job summary

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
1–2 years of experience in a similar position or completing an apprenticeship/internship.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain MULES/NCIC/REJIS certification.

Responsibilities

Receives and broadcasts routine and emergency calls, including 911 calls, to determine priority and dispatch services.
Answers routine inquiries and refers non-dispatch calls to appropriate departments.
Monitors radio frequencies and coordinates with police, fire and EMS units.
Provides weather alerts and information to the public when needed.
Maintains and accesses warrants information and incident records.
