Job summary

National Police is seeking a Police Communications Operator to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, prioritize dispositions, and relay information across radio, telephone, and computer systems. The role includes entering and updating records, greeting visitors, and supporting public safety operations.

The position may require schedule changes with or without notice and involves coordination with campus and law enforcement services.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the public and responding to customer service requests.
• 3 to 5 years of administrative experience or related experience.
• High School diploma; Associate’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor police radio transmissions and relay information to officers.
• Dispatch emergency complaints via 911 system and coordinate with responders.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and building alarms and relay to appropriate personnel.
• Relay safety information from the Police Scanner for campus and city areas.
• Document radio and telephone transmissions and complaints for records.
• Operate CJIS/University information systems and assist hearing impaired users as needed.
• Assist in Emergency Alert operations and perform other duties as assigned.
