Job summary

Eskenazi Health is seeking a Telecommunications Representative to manage critical hospital and emergency communications across the downtown campus and affiliated sites. You will activate urgent medical protocols, coordinate on-call notifications, and handle all switchboard operations to support patient care and safety.

Key duties include responding to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts, messaging physicians, and maintaining system access and contact information across AMS, Epic, Amion and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a phone operator.

Responsibilities

• Operate switchboard and respond to urgent announcements.
• Send notifications for Stroke One, Stemi and other codes.
• Manage on-call schedules and messaging to physicians.
• Serve as disaster operations backup during power outages.
• Maintain hospital user accounts in AMS/ American Messaging Systems.
