Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with public safety dispatch preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transmits, receives, and coordinates radio traffic.
• Answers emergency and non-emergency calls and relays information.
• Operates teletype and data terminals and relays to personnel.
• Maintains contact with public safety agencies.
• Monitors radio traffic across frequencies and relays as needed.
• Enters warrants and reported items into the computer system.
• Obtains and maintains TCIC/NCIC and CJIS access.
• Completes required EMD certification through NAED.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
