Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency and nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller information.
• Use approved questions to classify urgency.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information to dispatch promptly.
• Assist distressed callers with instructions when appropriate.
• Use language-access and accessibility resources as needed.
• Complete required training and certifications.
