Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Typing speed minimum 22 wpm and ability to communicate effectively.
• Pre-employment polygraph and extensive background checks required.
• CAD/RMS systems experience preferred; willingness to obtain TCOLE Telecommunicator license within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate responders.
• Monitor multi-channel radio system and ensure accurate information relay.
• Maintain confidentiality of all records and information.
• Operate CAD system to log incidents and track resources and locations.
• Provide information and assistance to the public within scope of authority.
