Job summary

Texas Woman's University Police Department seeks a Police Telecommunicator to serve as the vital link between campus community members in need and emergency services. You will be responsible for receiving, evaluating, and routing requests for police, fire, and EMS in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain TCIC/NCIC and TCOLE within one year of employment.
• Experience in high public contact and decision making preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAD, radio, phones, and other emergency communications systems accurately.
• Assess requests and determine appropriate emergency or non-emergency response.
• Maintain calm, clear communication with callers in stressful situations.
• Verify caller information and incident location for responders.
• Document incident details quickly and correctly.
• Notify appropriate agencies and coordinate with campus and public safety teams.
