Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses by performing phlebotomy, transporting patients, wound care, and lab specimen collection.
• Document information and procedures in the EHR; promptly communicate observations to the nurse.
• Coordinate communications via phone, paging, email, and EMS; maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Assist with patient positioning and transporting; lift and move patients using proper technique.
• Ensure knowledge of growth and development appropriate to age-specific patient needs.
