Job summary

Exa is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to lead the technical win in London. You will run discovery with customer engineering teams, design solutions on Exa's API, and deliver demos/POCs to prove value.

You’ll be one of the first GTM engineers in your region, shaping strategy and playbooks as the region grows. You will own the technical side of the sales cycle, build tailored demos, and translate capabilities into compelling narratives for CTOs and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineering, SE, or related)
• Experience with APIs and modern development (Python or TypeScript)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel and based in the region
• Familiarity with AI stack (LLMs, RAG, agents) and ability to scope a POC

Responsibilities

• Own the technical side of the sales cycle from discovery to POC delivery
• Build working demos and prototypes on Exa's API tailored to each use case
• Translate Exa capabilities into use-case narratives for CTOs, engineers, and PMs
• Serve as trusted technical advisor and coordinate with product/engineering
• Represent Exa at technical workshops, meetups, and conferences
• Support early customers through onboarding and initial implementation as we scale the region
