Collins Aerospace Environmental Effects Engineering (EEE) Lab in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks an EMC/EMI Project Engineer to lead pre‑qualification and qualification testing for complex subsystems. You will coordinate with the test lab, engineering teams, and customers to ensure MIL-STD-461/DO‑160 compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Role requires managing multiple EMI projects, documenting test results, and ensuring accurate data reporting. U.S.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance (selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation).
• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Support EMI projects through design considerations and requirements alignment.
• Prepare for and coordinate EMI testing, including schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with test lab staff to ensure equipment and resources are available.
• Develop and update EMI test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Coordinate and maintain test documentation such as datasheets and data files.
• Review test data for accuracy and assist with troubleshooting.
• Participate in peer reviews and improve testing documentation and processes.
• Ensure procedures are followed and test documentation is maintained.
