Job summary

RTX/Collins Aerospace seeks an EMC/EMI Project Engineer to lead hardware design across the product lifecycle, from requirements to test validation. You will work on nuclear radiation characterization and environmental testing for circuit card assemblies used in radio and display systems.

You’ll apply analog/digital design skills, contribute to design reviews, and mentor across disciplines. This role offers autonomy, growth, and meaningful responsibility from day one.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a US DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Practical circuit board design experience including schematic capture, PCB layout, and providing design guidance for board development.
• Experience applying military aerospace testing standards (DO-160; MIL-STD-461; MIL-STD-704).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team to develop reliable hardware designs meeting system requirements.
• Lead schematic capture, PCB layout, and board design documentation activities.
• Perform signal integrity analysis and guide board stack-up and routing.
• Prototype board population and hardware troubleshooting.
• Develop and execute test plans and reports, and support qualification testing.
