Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks an EMI Test Engineer to support day-to-day pre-qualification and qualification testing of EMI/EMC for moderate to high complexity products and subsystems. You will work hands-on in a premier EMI lab, ensuring readiness and advising on equipment troubleshooting and test setups.

The role requires prior EMI lab experience, the ability to update procedures, and collaboration with engineering partners across programs and customers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters).
• Degree in STEM and 5+ years experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily EMI lab organization and equipment readiness.
• Support test chamber calibrations, facility setup, and cross-lab coordination.
• Serve as SME for EMI test equipment, troubleshooting, and test setups.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to test hardware and software.
• Manage lab equipment needs and post-calibration tasks; coordinate across services.
• Research and design new test capabilities while upgrading existing ones.
• Update EMI procedures and datasheets to current industry standards.
• Train and evaluate technicians; maintain audit-ready records.
• Prepare and coordinate EMI hardware evaluation testing.
