Job summary

IVIRMA is seeking a full-time Embryology Lab Assistant to support the Embryology laboratory in Basking Ridge, NJ. You will assist with administrative tasks, data entry and daily quality control, while supporting laboratory operations under supervision.

The role requires multitasking, strong communication, and the ability to work on weekends and some holidays. Prior EMR experience and OSHA knowledge are preferred but not always required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in one of the sciences (preferred).
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook (required).
• Electronic Health Records (EMR) experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory policies for the lab (required).
• Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills with urgency.
• Ability to multitask.
• Independence and sound judgment.
• Weekend and some holiday availability.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for reporting and maintaining records of patient test results and morning QC.
• Study and adhere to the lab operating manual; document QC activities, calibrations and maintenance.
• Participate in lab operations and meetings as needed.
• Confirm accuracy of clinical charts prior to release for insurance and physician reviews.
• Assist embryology staff with procedures and research projects.
• Shadow the Embryologist to verify patient identity for procedures.
• Assist with decontamination of culture incubators.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate accurately and concisely.
