Job summary

FIGS is seeking a Part-Time Suture Specialist (Embroidery Machine Operator) to manage embroidery operations at our Rice Village Community Hub in Houston. This role involves handling in‑Hub embroidery orders, maintaining and cleaning machines, and ensuring the quality of finished garments.

The ideal candidate can work independently, manage multiple projects within deadlines, and possess a solid understanding of various embroidery machines.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule with availability on weekends.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting embroidery machines.
• Experience with single-head embroidery machines.
• Proficiency in embroidery software (Wilcom, Pulse) and design editing.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Read and complete embroidery orders accurately.
• Set up machines: design loading, thread selection, hooping, trimming.
• Track order status with retail team.
• Inspect garments against specs and perform adjustments.
• Steam and prepare garments for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Train and mentor embroidery team members.
• Coordinate with store leadership on trends and feedback.
