Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) seeks an Associate or Mid-Level Embedded Test and Evaluation Engineer to join the Starfire Optical Range team at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on setting up and maintaining embedded test environments and validating firmware across hardware and software components.

The position requires security clearances, experience with embedded system testing, and programming in Python, Java, C, C++, and MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (or eligible)
• Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret clearance (post-start)
• BS in Engineering or closely related field
• 2+ years testing embedded systems in lab settings
• 2+ years programming in Python, Java, C, C++, MATLAB
• Willing to work variable shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends)

Responsibilities

• Support firmware and software R&D projects for embedded systems
• Implement unit, integration, system, and regression testing
• Develop test tools and scripts for automation
• Set up and configure test environments for embedded systems
• Test and validate firmware components across hardware/software
• Troubleshoot firmware and software issues
• Document test procedures and results to meet requirements
