Boeing Defense, Space & Security (LEOS) seeks an Optical Engineer to support development of high performance Directed Energy and electro-optical systems in Albuquerque, NM. This contract position requires on-site work and a Top Secret/SCI clearance (or eligibility).

Roles include developing requirements, architectures, and performing analyses to optimize design around complex EO/laser system requirements. Responsibilities include modeling, simulations, tests, and lifecycle support from

Qualifications

Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance or SCI eligible.
1+ years related electro-optics experience.
Education or work experience in Electro-Optics.
Experience with EO systems, lasers, fiber optics, and telecom products.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and validating requirements for electro-optical systems and components.
Assist in architectures to integrate multiple systems into higher level platforms.
Perform trade studies, modeling, and simulation to optimize design around requirements.
Design complex electro-optical and laser systems and validate performance.
Support product lifecycle with guidance to resolve complex issues.
