Job summary

The Boeing Company in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Electronic/Mechanical Lab Technician at Associate, Mid-Level, or Lead level to support Starfire Optical Range operations onsite at Kirtland AFB.

Responsibilities include designing, building and testing systems, leading test integration, and troubleshooting complex lab issues. Candidates should have 2+ years engineering technician experience and be willing to work variable shifts; Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an engineering technician, construction, or facilities maintenance discipline.
• 2+ years of experience with powered hand tools or equipment.
• 2+ years of experience with electronics troubleshooting equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Willing and able to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and documents activities on products, systems, and processes.
• Designs, builds, and analyzes test systems, components, software and methodologies.
• Leads test integration, setup, checkout, teardown, and restoration.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex laboratory and test-related problems.
• Coordinates test laboratory activities, maintenance and repairs, and personnel training.
• Assists government agencies, safety and hazardous materials teams in emergencies.
• Assists engineers and senior technicians with system integration, verification, and validation.
• Serve as a crew member for tests, trained in optics, lasers, telescopes, and telescope mount operations.
