Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) seeks an Associate to Lead Embedded Software Engineer for the Starfire Optical Range at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. You will contribute to embedded software, firmware, and hardware development for electro-optical systems and space-domain awareness initiatives.

The role involves multidisciplinary teamwork, real-time firmware design, debugging, and integration, with opportunity for growth and security clearances.

Qualifications

• Requires active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Citizenship required) or ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• 2+ years of experience with System on Chip (SoC) hardware/software.
• 2+ years of experience in C++ software development in a Windows environment.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).

Responsibilities

• Support firmware and software research and development projects.
• Develop specifications for firmware and software architectures with a team.
• Research required algorithms and implementation approaches.
• Design and validate firmware components.
• Integrate and synthesize firmware for target platforms.
• Develop and maintain software code.
• Integrate software into a fully functional system.
• Troubleshoot firmware and software issues.
• Assist with test procedures and documenting results to meet embedded system requirements.
