Job summary

Capgemini seeks a Hardware Test Engineer with embedded system testing and test automation experience to validate products in our New York area lab. You will design strategies, execute tests, and document results to support reliability, quality and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hardware and embedded system testing experience.
• Experience with test automation and Python scripting.
• Experience designing test fixtures and automated test setups.
• Proficiency with test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs, generators).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and document test plans for embedded hardware and systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Perform electrical, firmware/software, mechanical, environmental, and system testing.
• Set up and operate lab equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, environments.
• Lead RCCA investigations; track corrective actions using JIRA.
• Verify products meet acceptance criteria and specifications.
• Coordinate regulatory testing with third-party labs (UL, CSA, TÜV).
• Provide actionable feedback to design teams to drive robustness.
