Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Embedded Hardware Test Engineer to join their team in Fairport, NY onsite. You will design, execute, and document test plans for embedded hardware, validate performance, and contribute to reliability and regulatory readiness.

You will develop automated tests in Python, set up lab instrumentation, and lead RCCA investigations while coordinating with firmware, software, and design teams to deliver robust products for industrial applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Strong experience in hardware and embedded system testing including firmware/software interaction.
• Proven test automation experience with Python or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience designing test fixtures and using test instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and document test plans, procedures, and reports for embedded hardware and systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions to improve coverage, repeatability, and efficiency.
• Perform electrical, firmware/software, mechanical, environmental, and system-level testing to validate product performance.
• Set up and operate laboratory and environmental test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, temp chambers).
• Lead RCCA investigations, track issues and corrective actions using defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA), and coordinate regulatory testing with third-party labs.
