Job summary

Caterpillar's Intelligent Machine Systems – CAT Technology Division in Mossville, IL, seeks an Electronic Systems Verification and Validation Engineer to support lab-based testing of embedded software. You will collaborate with engineers to verify and validate systems using SiL and HiL methods, develop test plans, and document results to meet ISO 9001 and functional safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Extensive experience with dSPACE XiL, VEOS and ControlDesk.
• Hands-on testing of embedded systems; ISO 9001 and functional safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Define testing priorities with the testing team lead and engineers.
• Develop test plans, execute regression tests, and document results.
• Perform software regression, delta content testing, and track defects.
• Develop automated test scripts for HiL and SiL environments.
• Collaborate to ensure compliance with functional safety requirements.
