Job summary

Panasonic Corporation of North America seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team that develops electrical and software components from design to mass production, delivering on schedule and per the product specification. This role encompasses software and hardware responsibilities.

You will collaborate with engineering, QA, procurement, project management, and overseas staff, supervise resources, and drive testing and design reviews. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Software Engineering or equivalent experience in Embedded Software Engineering
• Requires at least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with software coding, specifically C/C++.
• Experience with electrical test equipment, such as power supply, electronic load, oscilloscope and protocol analyzer.
• Experience with MS Office and other normal PC programs.
• Knowledge of C/C++ is required.
• Knowledge of DC electronic circuit is required. Knowledge of battery protection circuit is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team to develop electrical and software components from initial design to mass production within planned schedule and per product specifications.
• Support in design reviews with multiple stakeholders during development and coordinate PCA quantities and lead times with vendors.
• Discuss with customers during development to resolve issues and clarify specs.
• Evaluate software using emulators and hardware, and create test specifications.
