Job summary

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop embedded electronic systems for unmanned and autonomous platforms at Aberdeen Proving Ground. You will handle system architecture, schematic design, PCB development, firmware integration, board bring‑up, and rigorous testing to mature hardware capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing embedded electronic systems, including schematic design, component selection, PCB development, and hardware bring‑up.
• Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, or SoCs and associated peripheral circuitry.
• Experience developing or integrating flight control hardware, avionics, robotics, or other real-time embedded systems.
• Working knowledge of embedded interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, or similar.
• Experience developing, modifying, or debugging embedded firmware in C/C++ or similar languages.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other laboratory equipment.
• Ability to integrate sensors, communications devices, and other peripherals into embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded electronic systems for unmanned, autonomous platforms and other national security missions.
• Integrate flight controllers, processors, sensors, cameras, and communications hardware into complete platforms.
• Provide hands‑on engineering support from system architecture through schematic design, PCB development, firmware integration, and system testing.
