Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop embedded electronic systems for national security missions at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The role requires on-site work five days a week and a TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

You will work across circuit design, embedded computing, flight control hardware, sensors, and imaging systems, coordinating with software, mechanical, and autonomy engineers to mature hardware capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 2 years of experience; 0 with Master's.
• Experience designing embedded electronic systems, including schematic design and PCB bring-up.
• Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, or SoCs and related circuitry.
• Experience with flight control hardware, avionics, or real-time embedded systems.
• Proficiency with SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, or similar interfaces.
• Embedded firmware development in C/C++ or similar languages.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and firmware with test equipment.
• US Citizenship

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded electronic systems for national security missions.
• Integrate flight controllers, processors, sensors, and cameras into platforms.
• Provide hands-on engineering from schematic design to system testing on site.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, autonomy, and systems engineers.
