Job summary

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Embedded Systems / Flight Control Hardware to support intelligence missions at Aberdeen Proving Ground. You will design and develop embedded hardware, select components, and bring up systems for unmanned and autonomous platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing embedded electronic systems, including schematic design, component selection, PCB development, and hardware bring‑up.
• Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, or SoCs and associated peripheral circuitry.
• Experience developing or integrating flight control hardware, avionics, robotics, or other real‑time embedded systems.
• Working knowledge of embedded interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, or similar.
• Experience developing, modifying, or debugging embedded firmware in C/C++ or similar languages.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other laboratory equipment.
• Ability to integrate sensors, communications devices, and other peripherals into embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded electronic systems supporting unmanned, autonomous, and other advanced platforms for critical national security missions.
• Work across circuit design, embedded computing, flight control hardware, sensors, and imaging systems to prototype and mature capabilities.
• Integrate flight controllers, processors, sensors, cameras, communications hardware into complete platforms.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, autonomy, and systems engineers to deliver integrated hardware solutions.
