Job summary

AeroVironment's Summer Internship Program offers paid, 12-week onsite experience in aerospace and defense. Interns work with AV teams on meaningful projects, developing professional relationships and problem-solving skills while gaining hands-on experience in a full-time work environment.

As an Embedded Software Engineering Intern, you will design, develop, and test embedded software for unmanned aerial and robotic systems, writing code for microcontrollers and real-time platforms.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with C, C++ or Python and low-level software concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing and testing embedded software for autopilots, sensors, radios and other onboard components.
• Help implement software in C/C++ for real-time and bare-metal systems using microcontrollers.
• Support integration of embedded software with hardware and perform debugging with lab tools.
