Job summary
Blue Origin LLC is hiring a Software Engineer for the TeraWave RF and Optical Systems in an on-site capacity in the Greater Seattle Area or Bay Area. You will lead embedded software development, focusing on constrained environments, real-time OS, high-speed data handling, and encryption to advance space-based networks.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architecture and CI/CD pipelines, and mentor others while delivering high-quality, reliable software for
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years embedded software development in C/C++ on Linux/RTOS/Bare-metal.
- Strong grasp of C++ object-oriented design and implementation concepts.
- Experience with embedded debugging using SW/HW tools (GDB, JTAG).
- Knowledge of SPI, I3C, I2C, PCIe, CAN, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizen or eligible for work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and design discussions.
- Troubleshoot problems and debug using telemetry, logs/traces, and debugging tools.
- Develop unit and integration tests and CI/CD integration.
- Learn fast and deliver with speed and quality.
