Job summary
Blue Origin in the Seattle area is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer to lead the control and data plane software for the TeraWave constellation. You will design multi-threaded embedded systems in C/C++ on Linux/RTOS, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with hardware teams to deliver high-performance space networking software.
The role is onsite with a temporary remote work exception, relocation assistance, and travel up to 10%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of embedded C/C++ on Linux/RTOS/Bare-metal platforms.
- Strong C++ OO design and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++ for Linux/RTOS/Bare-metal platforms.
- Develop device drivers and control/data plane functions for Satellite RF transceivers, Antenna systems and Optical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware systems.
- Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and design discussions.
- Troubleshoot with telemetry, logs/traces, and debugging tools; mentor junior engineers.
