Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer to lead the control and data plane architecture for the TeraWave satellite networking system, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance software on constrained platforms.

Design and implement multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++ for Linux/RTOS/Bare-metal, develop device drivers for satellite transceivers, and mentor junior engineers while promoting CI/CD and TDD practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, CS, or EE or related field.
3+ years of embedded C/C++ development on Linux/RTOS/Bare-metal.
Strong OO design in C++ and embedded debugging with industry tools.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and TDD practices.
Experience leading software teams and mentoring junior engineers.
U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Design and develop multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++ for Linux/RTOS/Bare-metal platforms on multi-core SoCs.
Implement custom device drivers and control/data plane functions for satellite transceivers and ground terminals.
Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate software with hardware systems.
Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and design discussions.
Troubleshoot using telemetry, logs, and debugging tools; promote CI/CD and TDD practices.
Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering excellence and innovation.
