Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks an Embedded Software Development Engineer to build and scale VirtSat, a virtualization platform for Leo satellites on EC2 bare-metal infrastructure. You will own the Graviton layer and manage VM lifecycle, provisioning, and software deployment for virtual satellites and ground terminals.

The role involves developing embedded software in Rust, C, or C++ across the virtualization stack, writing device drivers, and optimizing provisioning pipelines.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
Experience with Linux systems programming and virtualization.
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Own the Graviton bare-metal virtualization layer and VM lifecycle.
Develop embedded software for virtualization and emulation layers in Rust/C++.
Write device drivers and system applications for satellite systems.
Build and optimize AMI pipelines and provisioning scripts.
Collaborate with hardware teams for bring-up and testing.
