Job summary

Avery Weigh-Tronix in the United States is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test and support embedded software for existing and new products, including hardware bring‑up and low‑level hardware/software integration.

You will contribute to software architecture, work across the product lifecycle, and collaborate with manufacturing, customers and cross‑functional teams to drive reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum of 4 years embedded software experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Git/Github.
• Experience with FreeRTOS or MQX.
• Strong hardware/software integration skills.
• Ability to work independently across all phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, code, test, and debug embedded software for products.
• Bring up embedded software on new hardware platforms.
• Develop and debug low-level drivers and board support software (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, GPIO).
• Provide technical input to project schedules and planning.
• Document designs and engineering analyses thoroughly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support manufacturing.
