Job summary

Avery Weigh-Tronix is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded software for existing and new products. You will bring up new hardware, integrate low-level drivers, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities include software architecture contributions, product enhancements, and verification across the lifecycle. Quarterly travel to our Fairmont, MN facility is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum 4 years of embedded software experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Git, and RTOS environments (FreeRTOS/MQX).
• Strong hardware/software integration and system-level design.
• Ability to travel quarterly to the Fairmont, MN facility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support embedded software for products.
• Bring up new hardware and integrate software with MCUs.
• Develop and debug low-level drivers and board support software.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate status clearly.
• Ensure reliability validation and product lifecycle support.
