Job summary
Teradyne’s Embedded Software Engineer role in North Reading, MA seeks a developer to design, implement, and maintain software interfacing with hardware and operating system components within cutting-edge test platforms.
You will collaborate with hardware and software engineers and product managers to deliver robust, high-performance solutions spanning the embedded Linux stack, including drivers and user-space applications, with emphasis on automation and AI-assisted tooling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded and system-level applications.
- Experience with Linux platforms including user-space apps, drivers, bootloaders, and cross-compilation environments.
- Experience with AI-assisted tooling in software engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions in C and C++ for Linux-based and embedded systems.
- Debug and optimize complex hardware/software integration issues across system- and board-level components.
- Contribute to software quality and efficiency using modern development practices and AI-assisted tools.
