Job summary

Hru Tech in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Software Engineer – Fire Control to join a team developing embedded software for a ground combat vehicle program. You will design and migrate to a new software development environment, create requirements and architecture documentation, and develop and test software code.

This role is 100% onsite at our facility. The position requires Fire Control experience, eligibility for a US security clearance, and the ability to work a 9-80 schedule.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Eng or Electrical Eng
• 4+ years of related experience
• Experience with GIT, Bitbucket, Java, C#, C++, C, Python
• Experience with VxWorks, Linux, RTOS, Virtualization, BSPs, GVOS
• Experience with RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IP
• Experience with DDS, Kafka or other Pub/Sub middleware
• Experience with TSN architectures and NATO/UK vehicle data models
• Experience with Agile processes and tools

Responsibilities

• Design and migrate to a new software development environment
• Develop software documentation and code across vehicle domains
• Perform software requirements analysis and detailed design
• Develop test procedures and perform unit/functional tests
• Integrate software releases across vehicle software releases
• Lead agile ceremonies and coordinate with Systems Engineering and QA
